🇺🇸 - Last post of the trip.

Hard to find what to say.

Keep it simple, that’s always best.

The one thought that comes to mind is to THANK you.

• for believing that I could pull it off and cheering me from the beginning
• for being positive and encouraging EVEN if you thought it was very bold and a big elephant to eat. (Some parts of this elephant are hard to chew let me tell you)
• for still supporting me EVEN if you thought at the time that it was a bad idea
• for trusting me EVEN if you hard some fears for my safety, but you trusted my preparation and my judgement, and encouraged me to be tougher on myself through that preparation
• for your talent in designing the boat, building it, preparing it, improving final details, repairing it, etc. Making it my cocoon and my in submersible protector.
• for your advice on your own expeditions at sea: Scott Donaldson, Peter Bray, Ed Gillet, Justin Jones, Antonio de la Rosa, Chris Martin, Erden Eruc, Rick Leach, Lia Ditton, Tez Steinberg, Carlo Facchino, Rod Mayer, Sean Morley, David Kelly
• for giving me an hand on the boat, on the website, for the mapping of the tracker, on the marketing deck, on the social media, on a phone call, on conversations, on presentations, on logistics…
• for helping me with my finances with your donations
• for giving me a job or a way to make money so can could train every day and work on the boat full time
• for sponsoring me with gear, effort and money, and sticking with me through the difficult times
• for unlocking me when I had a blockage or doubts here and there, work through my fears and bearing them one after the other
• for being there after my first attempt that ended in the rescue, giving me space and time to figure things out, and cheering me again when it was time for a new go
• for coming to see Valentine and all your questions, for bringing your kids and making them part of the journey
• for accompanying me on the water at the Sea Trek pre departure in Sausalito, at the first GGB departure, at the Monterey departure, and now at the Hilo arrival tomorrow!! Means so much.
• for being part of my land crew through these years and during the crossing: daily support, social media, press, medical, mental and physical training, translations, electrical, logistical, physiotherapy.
• for being so enthusiastic in following the journey on a daily basis, and sharing your enthusiasm around you to friends and family
• for seeing first hand the personal journey that I took on and the transformation that this trip has had on me, emotionally, psychologically and philosophically. I feel like I am a different man than I was and you were here to witness the process.
• for making this dream a reality!

Basically, thank you, for being an important part of the dream, in any way, shape or form: this is your adventure, this is reality now, this is arrival, this is success, so this is YOUR VICTORY too!

Difficile de trouver les mots. Alors je vais rester simple, c'est toujours le mieux.

La seule pensée qui me vient à l'esprit est de vous MERCI.

• pour avoir cru que je pouvais y arriver et m'avoir encouragé dès le début
• pour être positif et encourageant MÊME si tu pensais que c'était une folie et un gros éléphant à manger. (certaines parties de cet éléphant sont difficiles à mâcher laissez-moi vous dire)
• pour m'avoir soutenu MÊME si tu pensais à l'époque que c'était une mauvaise idée
• pour m'avoir fait confiance MÊME si tu craignais pour ma sécurité, mais tu avez confiance en ma préparation et à mon jugement, et m'avais encouragé à être plus dur avec moi-même tout au long de cette préparation
• pour votre talent à concevoir le bateau, le construire, le préparer, peaufiner les derniers détails, le réparer, etc. En faire mon cocon et mon protecteur insubmersible.
• pour vos conseils sur vos propres expéditions en mer : Scott Donaldson, Peter Bray, Ed Gillet, Justin Jones, Antonio de la Rosa, Chris Martin, Erden Eruc, Rick Leach, Lia Ditton, Tez Steinberg, Carlo Facchino, Rod Mayer, Sean Morley, David Kelly
• pour m'avoir donné un coup de main sur le bateau, sur le site internet, pour la cartographie du tracker, sur le marketing, sur les réseaux sociaux, sur un appel téléphonique, sur des conversations, sur des présentations, sur la logistique…
• pour m'avoir aidé avec mes finances grâce à vos dons
• pour m'avoir donné un travail ou un moyen de gagner de l'argent afin que je puisse m'entraîner tous les jours et travailler sur le bateau à plein temps
• pour m'avoir parrainé avec du matériel, des efforts et de l'argent, et m'avoir soutenu dans les moments difficiles
• pour m'avoir débloquer quand j'avais un blocage ou des doutes ici et là, surmonter mes peurs et les supporter les unes après les autres
• pour avoir été là après ma première tentative qui s'est terminée par le sauvetage, m'avoir donné de l'espace et du temps pour comprendre les choses et m'avoir encouragé à nouveau quand il était temps de recommencer
• d'être venu voir Valentine et toutes vos questions, d'avoir amené vos enfants et de les avoir fait voyager
• pour m'avoir accompagné sur l'eau au pré départ de Sea Trek à Sausalito, au premier départ du GGB, au départ de Monterey, et maintenant à l'arrivée de Hilo demain !! Signifie tellement.
• pour avoir fait partie de ma team de soutien à terre durant ces années et pendant la traversée : accompagnement au quotidien, réseaux sociaux, presse, entraînement médical, mental et physique, traductions, électricité, logistique, kinésithérapie.
• d'être si enthousiaste à suivre le parcours au quotidien, et de partager votre enthousiasme autour de vous avec vos amis et votre famille
• pour avoir été des observateurs de premier plan du cheminement personnel que j'ai entrepris et la transformation que ce voyage a eue sur moi, émotionnellement, psychologiquement et philosophiquement. J'ai l'impression d'être un homme différent de ce que j'étais et vous étiez ici pour assister au processus.
• pour avoir fait de ce rêve une réalité !

Fondamentalement, merci d'avoir été une partie importante du rêve, de quelque manière que ce soit : c'est votre aventure, c'est la réalité maintenant, c'est l'arrivée, c'est le succès, c'est donc aussi VOTRE VICTOIRE !
